Situational Exercise (Morris & McDaniel) is an exercise in which candidates are provided with hypothetical problem(s)/scenario(s) that are usually personnel and/or tactical/operational oriented and consist of only a few sentences each. The Morris & McDaniel, Inc. exercise has the candidate appear before cameras rather than assessors, there will be no preparation period, the candidate will be presented with 3-5 unrelated scenarios, have approximately four minutes to analyze and respond to each, and the performance will be video-recorded for later assessment. The problem(s)/scenario(s) are presented in writing. There is no role play or human interaction involved once the exercise begins, and there are no follow-up questions posed to the candidate. This module includes 42 practice situations.
