Press Conference Exercise (Police) is an assessment center exercise in which the candidate is given information during a preparation phase on which to base the interaction with the “media.”  The information may consist of official department reports or mere descriptions of ongoing crime issues or a specific incident, and this information is used by the candidate to prepare a presentation and answer questions from “media” representative(s).  The exercise may be fully-interactive with trained role players acting as “media” representatives who interrupt and ask questions during and following the candidate’s initial presentation, or it may be more of an uninterrupted presentation by the candidate followed by questions from the assessors playing the part of the media.  There may be a written report/memo completed by the candidate following the press conference.  This module includes 1 practice exercise.

Each of our Assessment Center/Interview Training Modules include:

  • A PowerPoint slide presentation, along with Mr. Rockhill’s voice-over talking you through what you need to know, do, and say to prepare for and to excel in your test, structured oral interview, or assessment center.  This includes a detailed description of the exercises and techniques used by the consultant conducting your Assessment Center/Interview (if available) or detailed descriptions of our Universal products.
