Fire Oral Tactical Exercise ("Incident Command/Supervision") begins with candidates being presented with information about the date, day of the week, temperature, and wind direction/speed. Dispatch information is provided and, sometimes, a picture of the scene and/or a diagram of the scene is given. Candidates are then to give an oral response as to how they would command the incident or task assignment. Then, the scenario typically “evolves" (worsens/changes) with newly-presented information (written information) and the candidate has a specified amount of time to both analyze and orally respond to complete the exercise. This module includes 9 practice situations.
